International Product Development Engineer
Acrow Corporation of America seeks candidates for multiple positions to support engineering & design of bridging solutions to international customers, including active involvement in all stages of International Bridge Project. Applicants must possess (i) BS from ABET accredited institution in Civil, Structural or Construction Eng (ii) 3yrs exp in job offered or related – including at least one major project (for at least 6 months time) using (a) stringer-floorbeam-girder bridge systems, pony truss bridges & pre-engineered panel-type bridges & (b) panel-bridge construction details, design basics, limitations & component interaction (iii) working knowledge of: (a) Engineering Principles & Practices & their use in domestic & international bridge markets; (b) Design & construction processes for both conventional & panel bridges; (c) current editions of Bridge Design & Evaluation Codes: AASHTO ASD (Allowable Stress Design) & LRFD (Load & Resistance Factor Design) Highway Bridge Design Specifications; AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation; AASHTO ASD & LRFD Guide Specifications for Design of Pedestrian Bridges; AASHTO Guide Specifications for LRFD Seismic Bridge Design; Trilateral Design & Test Code for Military Bridging & Gap-Crossing Equipment; NATO Standardisation Agreement (STANAG) 2021; Eurocode: EN 1990, EN 1991, & EN 1993; CAN/CSA-S6-14: Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code; BS 5400: British Standard for steel, concrete & composite bridges, as modified by appropriate BD sections; IRC 6-2010: Standard Specifications & Code of Practice for Road Bridges (India); TMH7: Code of Practice for the Design of Highway Bridges & Culverts in the Republic of South Africa; SATCC (Southern Africa Transport and Communications Commission): Code of Practice for the Design of Road Bridges & Culverts; PN-85 S-10030: Polska Norma – Obiekty mostowe: Obciążenia (Polish Standard – Bridges: Loads); & SEI/ASCE 7-02: Minimum Design Loads for Buildings & Other Structures; AISC Steel Construction Specifications (iv)Proficient w/(a) AutoCAD 2006 or more recent versions; (b) Structural modeling software including Bentley LEAP CONSYS & STAAD Pro; (v)Able to convey project solutions in clear & concise manner through drawings & calculations, & read & understand plans & specifications.
